Q- What is permanent jewelry?

A piece of jewelry that you design, we custom fit it to you, and attach it without a clasp. It is simple, quick, and painless!

Q- How can I get one?

There are a couple of different ways for you to get linked! You can make an appointment here on our website to come into our studio, you can visit us at one of our public events (see our monthly schedule on our website or instagram page), or host your very own permanent jewelry party!

Q- Can I add a clasp?

Yes! You will still be able to design your own piece and we will custom fit it to you but add a clasp so you can take it on and off.

Q- What if it breaks?

Our chains are durable but they are not indestructible. They are dainty so if they get caught on something, they may stretch or break. At Luxe, we strive to provide quality products and great customer service. If something breaks, we want to hear about it. Reach out and we will happily re-weld it for you at no cost. If you have a piece break from another permanent jewelry artist, bring it in and we will do what we can to re-weld/repair it for you at no cost. 

Q- What materials are the chains made of?

Our chains are mostly either gold-filled or S925 sterling silver. Gold filled means multiple layers of gold bonded by heat and pressure to a high quality brass core. The bond is permanent, so the gold overlay won’t peel or detach from the base metal like it might when something is gold plated. We also offer a small variety of solid gold chains priced per inch. 

Q- Will it tarnish?

Our chains are made with tarnish-resistant materials. With proper care, these chains should not tarnish quickly. The best way to take care of them is gently washing them when you wash your hands. You can also use a soft toothbrush and dawn dish soap to gently scrub your chain. If you use any kind of lotion, spray tan, or apply chemicals like bug spray or sunscreen be sure to rinse the chain off with a little water after applying.

Q- What if I need to take it off for surgery?

Simply cut the chain at the jump ring (the small circle that’s used to connect it) with cuticle cutters or small pliers. Hold it in a safe place and when you’re ready, come find us at one of our events or make an appointment to have it re-welded.

Q- Can I give it as a gift?

Permanent jewelry is a great experience gift! We offer gift cards or you can make an appointment in our studio as a surprise for your loved ones!
